I was in a sentimental mood so, a list. For your critique. Discuss.
10. the wide variety of DVDs, clothes, etc. to borrow
9. sharing and experiencing different cultures
8. Mario Kart.
7. all the stuff I took for granted that is now costing me money
6. acting
5. FOOOOOOOF!
4. "Harvard" being something that unites us, as opposed to a label that makes me different*
3. our dance parties, spontaneous and/or planned
2. Kirkland synergy
1. the constant supply of friends to hang out with, "study" with, laugh with, have late night girl talk sessions with, have next day debriefing sessions with..... (i.e. YOU)
*I am in no way upset about having this label. If anything, I am damn proud of it and all the times I have bashfully said "I went to Harvard," I am secretly beaming on the inside. Nonetheless, it can have a adverse effect on others... who assume things.

ie-ME?!
I agree with everything on this list, and would like to add:
-eating meals regularly with people (as opposed to alone in front of the tv)
-sharing a living space with people you're comfortable with (as opposed to randos)
-unlimited supply of food
to add to the list:
-going to parties and knowing that the sketchiest drunk there somehow still manages to be Phi Beta Kappa or something similarly ridiculous
(as opposed to being at real world parties, where the sketchiest person there is a) twenty years your senior or b) has killed someone)
-Being able to spontaneously knock on your neighbor's door and actually have them be happy that you did.
-The "liquor license" that the Kirkland courtyard apparently acquired in the spring.
-Special finals week brain breaks.
-Roberta. And Tommy Somerville.
